HANDWARMERS!!!!

Insomnia struck again last night and I finished my handwarmers. The yarn is Moda Dea's Sassy Stripes and they took less than one skein to finish. I'm happy with the results. I basically made a pair of gloves without fingers, but put a little fphdc, bphdc ribbing around the finger part.. also made some other minute changes to the pattern.

I think I'll work on some other variations to this.. like, if the yarn was plain (less busy) a pattern or design could be worked in. Might even work with this strippedy (is that a word?) yarn, but would have to be in a completely different color scheme. So many things to ponder.

I tried starting a skull & crossbones scarf tonight too, tried just regular sc, and have tried tunisian, i'm not happy with either results so far. Phooey. Posted by Hello

I love the gloves, they're gorgeous! Everytime I go to Michael's I must visit the Moda Dea section; it's very beautiful and soft. I weep over the ChiChi because it wants to come home with me but I can't afford $11.00 a skein!

I haven't seen the ChiChi, now I have to go look for it >>grin<< My current addiction is LB's Moonlight Mohair, at 8.99 a skein it's not horrible, but not too bad.

Thank you so much for the compliment. I'm kinda addicted to making them now.. hehehe got another pair made, and two more pair "on the hook".

I've got 2 or 3 skeins of the "Dream" in blue that is waiting for inspiration.

So cool! If you ever make up a pattern to share, let me know! I have a moda dea pattern list and a one skein pattern list on crafts.vigilant20.com and I'd be happy to link to you :)
